We just had a guest come through. Anyone recognize it? Not like CP was gonna ask; he mostly held back, making comments like, “no, I don’t know what kind of snake it is, and I’m sure as hell not going to ASK it, either.”

ETA: it ended up being Snake Day around here. While working in the garden, saw a foot-long racer vamoose out from under the rock I was moving, and over the following hour disturbed or startled four more little guys, who all looked like small-versions of the one pictured above. Add in about four lizards skittering away from the hoe at various points…
On the other hand, CP is year of the Snake, so I figure it’s all good.
