Just found out my proposed schedule for Spring is out the window, and I need to scramble to line up something completely different by the 28th. It seems I need to take 15 hours, including the thesis. All of them must be upper division. One must be a Philosophy class for my minor, and another must be a Religious Studies class in addition to the thesis. Plus two electives, but they too must be upper division classes. And it’s difficult to find upper div classes that aren’t also ’substantial writing component’ classes.
So, no Latin, because it’s lower div. Which will make it even harder to convince the grad school admission committee, and means I’ll probably need to start taking it over the Summer. Problem with that is that it’s only offered in the accelerated form in Summer (15-wk class crammed down into 5).
However, “Genji to Godzilla” is listed as upper div, so I might end up doing it and the Sufism. And something else. And Existentialism. And writing the thesis.
If I’d known this, I could have added another elective to this semester.
